What happens on the website
The site does not upload files, submit form data to a server, run analytics, embed videos, load third-party scripts, or save drafts in browser storage. Form values stay in the current page until you copy them or choose the email link. Copying puts text on your device clipboard; opening your email app passes the draft or its subject to that app.
Refreshing or closing the page can lose your draft. Your browser, clipboard tools, extensions, operating system and email provider may have their own storage or synchronisation behaviour; this website cannot control them.
Hosting and external services
When this site is hosted on GitHub Pages, GitHub processes visitor information, including IP addresses for security purposes. Read GitHub’s Pages information and its privacy statement.
Links to the original repository, Lean editors, preprint hosts and video platforms take you to external services with their own policies. We do not embed their players or fetch their content automatically.
What happens when you email
Your chosen email provider sends your submission to the judges’ shared Gmail address shown on the contribution page. The message reveals your sender address and any information you include. The judges’ email service processes the message too.
Contributions are for private organiser and panel review, not automatic publication. Provide only what is needed to understand the entry and reply to you. Do not send identity documents, passwords, a home address, birth date or financial details.
You can ask the organisers about their handling of correspondence, or request withdrawal or deletion, using the judges’ submission address. Agree any needed handling or retention arrangements before sending sensitive or confidential material; this page cannot establish the recipient’s mailbox settings or legal obligations.
Contributors under 18
A parent or guardian should handle the email. Use a preferred public credit rather than sharing a child’s identifying details unnecessarily. Before an explanation is made public, the organisers should agree its public name, content and permission with the guardian. External hosting services have separate account and age rules.
Publication permission
Submitting an entry does not transfer copyright or agree a public reuse licence. Before publication, the author and organisers must agree the specific material, credit, archival deposit, DOI record and permissions. Public copies may be downloaded or archived by other people; removing a page later cannot guarantee their deletion.
Limits of the website’s checks
The site has no file-upload endpoint and does not download, parse or execute submissions. The email draft requests links and plain text only. Browser-side link checks are a convenience: they are not malware scans, do not verify the remote content and can be bypassed by emailing directly.
Do not send attachments. Organisers should treat unsolicited attachments and all external links as untrusted, regardless of a sender’s claims. The project should not be described as “bulletproof”.
